I was thinking since hockey is a game of lines that we allow for more starting slots, can keep the rosters the same, but have more starting slots, say 3 C,LW,and RW and 6 D with 2 util and 2 starting goalies. With 23 man rosters, just like the nhl.

The problem I have with making additions or changes to roster spots is that teams have already been drafted around a certain plan and philosophy. Changing the amount of starting slots would change the whole dynamic of that.
For the most part, there's enough roster space and starting spots to allow you to play everyone.

There are a few more starting decisions to be made on the friday and saturday where the majority of the 30 teams are playing. And this change would be for next season if we decided to implement it. I wouldn't increase roster size, or maybe I would, don't remember the total manpower off the top of my head. I would just include more of the starting slots with a shorter bench.
