Recap
I'd like to start off by thanking everyone for a successful year. We've seen some manager changes over the past year but I really like the group of guys we currently have and I hope we can get some continuity with the group of managers.
Year one has come and gone, as all four sports have been completed once. The year one standings have been updated, and Bill ran away with the title this season, having a nine point lead over Kenny. I'd like to have a valid excuse for my performance, but I do not, and thus will pretend this year never happened if anyone asks. As a result of the final standings, Bill will receive one extra pick to be used at the end of the first round of any of the upcoming four drafts.
Alright, down to business.
Rules
I've been thinking recently (weird, I know) and I realized some minor things in the league that I'd like to change:
1. Divisions - They don't really have an impact on anything really, and they could conceivably rob a team of a playoff birth. I'd like to remove them, as they don't offer anything that we don't get from the traditional one to ten standings.
2. Max Moves Limit - I've look at both sides of the discussion and I have decided to implement a max moves limit of four per week in baseball, hockey, and basketball. Four should be enough that it won't impact any injury crunches you have but enough to limit ones ability to redesign a whole team within a day. I will most likely remove these limits when the league opens and add them once again once the games begin, as I know activity tends to be highest at this point.
If you have any issues, complaints or ideas, let me know. I'm open to discussion and I rarely bite.
Notice
I've noticed a few of you have changed your team names in the offseason and what not, which I'm okay with, but please let me know when you do make these changes as I need to make the changes to the prospect and draft pages as well. You have no idea how confused I get when I see new team names pop up when I'm trying to set the draft order.
NFL Rookie Draft
Speaking of draft orders, the NFL Rookie Draft is up and running. The first selection was made which means that Kenny is on the clock. You've all been through the draft process before but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'm usually pretty timely at responding to emails or on YIM.
Rosters
Our hockey and basketball seasons are officially completed, which means that it is time to fill in your rosters on the proboards site. I've noticed that many of you have already done this. Thank you.
It is currently the football, basketball, and hockey offseasons so all three of these sports should have updated rosters on the proboards site.
Thanks guys!
